【摘要】:Sonicvelocitymeasurementsareusefulforcomparingmaterials.AvalueforYoung’moduluscanbeobtainedformanyapplications,whichwillgenerallybewithin10%ofthevalueobtainedbyothermethods,suchasinTestMethodC747.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureformeasuringthesonicvelocityinmanufacturedcarbonandgraphitematerialshavingagrainsizelessthan0.80mm(1/32in.).ThesonicvelocitycanbeusedtoobtainanapproximatevalueforYoung'smodulus.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
