【摘要】:Dataonthecompositionandcharacteristicsofwaterarefrequentlyusedtoevaluatethehealthandsafetytohumansandtheenvironment.Moreover,suchdataarefrequentlyusedforprocesscontrolortoascertaincompliancewithregulatorystatutesthatplacelimitsonacceptablecompositionsandcharacteristicsofwaters.Laboratoriesthatconductwatersamplingandgenerateanalyticaldata,andthosepersonswhohavetheresponsibilityforselectingalaboratorytoperformwaterqualitystudies,needtousecriteria,guidelines,andrecommendationsthathavebeendevelopedbyconsensusandarewellacceptedinmakingthisselection.Demonstrationanddocumentationbyalaboratorythattherewasjudiciousselectionandcontroloforganization,facilities,resources,andoperationswillenhancethecredibilityofthedataproducedandpromoteitsacceptance.1.1Thisguideprovidesinformationonconsensusgoodlaboratorypracticesforlaboratoriesthatprovideservicesinthesamplingandanalysisofwater.Asconsensusstandards,thesearetheminimumcriteriathatalllaboratoriesshouldconsiderinestablishingtheirgoodlaboratorypractices.1.2Thisguideisdesignedtobeusedbythoseresponsiblefortheselection,operation,orcontroloflaboratoryorganizationsengagedinsamplingandanalysisofwater.1.3Thisguidepresentsfeaturesoforganization,facilities,resources,andoperationswhichaffecttheusefulnessofthedatagenerated.1.4Thisguidepresentscriteriaforselectionandcontrolofthefeaturesdescribedinandalsomakesrecommendationsforthecorrectionofunacceptableperformance.1.5ThisguidedescribesmethodologyandpracticesintendedtobecompletelyconsistentwiththeInternationalOrganizationforStandardization(ISO)9000seriesofstandardsandGuide25-1990().1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
